You can have the nicest website in the world and spend as much money on it as you like. But if you can’t get any traffic to it, what is the point? You’re not going to make any sales or get any leads.

Say your website makes 100 sales per day, typically 30% of those sales will come from Google organic (FREE) searches for your product or service. 30% might come from Google and Bing paid ads. 20% might come from your email marketing campaign. 10% from your affiliate program and the final 10% through social media marketing.
Making sure you have multi-channles of revenue is a good idea! Because if something goes south with one of your revenue channels, you still have the others to fall back on. For example, Google may change the way they rank sites in your industry and downgrade you to page 2 for your main keyword or phrase. This could cost you a lot of money, especially if it was your only sales channel.
